Ár nDúthcas (Irish for "Our Heritage"), was the newsletter of the Ó Dochartaigh Clann Association. Spearheaded by Patrick Dougherty of Michigan in 1982, there were over 60 issues published and sent to members across the globe throughout three decades. Other dozens of wonderful people over time served in various editorial and contributing roles to produce the newsletters. There's tons of information tucked away in them, which you can use to begin your researching. As with all secondary genealogical sources, best practice is to identify the primary source where the authors obtained their data, so future researchers can easily verify your facts. Throughout these issues, each a snapshot in time, you can see the development of our Clann Association and Reunion.

 

This collection of newsletters was provided for publication here by Ms. Joyce Dougherty, wife of the late Cameron Dougherty and daughter-in-law to the later Pat "Inch" Dougherty of Michigan to preserve the work they led and honor their legacy.
